By Dan SorensenThe remodel of an apartment building in Danburys new apartment complex is being billed as the costliest office remodel in Connecticut history.
The building in the city’s Little Italy neighborhood is now a full-service office space, according to the company that will be renovating it.
It will cost $2.6 million, which includes the $400,000 to $450,000 renovation bill.
It’s the second renovation of a building in Little Italy this year.
The original renovation, in 2007, was a $2,788,000 project.
That renovation included a new lobby, new kitchen and bathrooms, a new carpet, new windows and a new light fixtures.
The new renovation is expected to cost an additional $400.4 million, the firm said.
The firm says it has already begun work on renovations for the new building, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
