— Commercial remodel of a building on the Danbury waterfront will include a bathroom with a bathtub, a small office, and a bathroom remodeled for the owner of the building, according to a building official.
The building is located at 11 W. Main St. on the property of the Danburys Landmark hotel, which will be converted into apartments.
The Danbury Chamber of Commerce plans to pay for the renovations, which include adding an outdoor pool, adding a sink and shower and painting the exterior.
The organization plans to install a new carpet, carpeting, lighting and fixtures, as well as a new exterior light and water features.
The renovations will include painting the building’s exterior and installing an exterior bathtub and a new tub.
The interior of the hotel will be renovated with the intention of making it a more intimate place to work, said Jennifer Geller, the executive director of the chamber of commerce.
The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2019, she said.
The project is expected to cost about $2 million.
It will be the first commercial remodel for the hotel, Geller said.
